Camdodia with daughter Kirsty

November 15th 2009, our Daughter Kirsty dropped into Kuala Lumpur on route back to UK. Being a great sculptor, we thought some ancient sculptures would be of interest, so we 3 went to Cambodia.

Good old Air Asia to Siem Reap armed with our e-visas to discover the town, region and finally a goodly sample of the Ankor Wat temple complex. Kirsty I think was suitably impressed not only with the quality, but quantity of wonderful temples all with superb stone work and sculptures.

As luck would have it, eldest son Simon and his mate Timmo actually found us in a convenience store in Siem Reap, so much food, drink and laughter and a couple of great nights together.

We left the guys and got the bus to Phnom Penh to stay in the art quarter near the river and museum. Russian market. Royal Palace and art street itself, not to mention ice cold affordable beer and each evening food and drinks on the banks of the Tongle Sap River.

Only a week, so all a bit rushed, but super fun and even more so being to spend time with Kirsty.

Pictures....slide show is a good option on this site
